Supreme Champion Royal Welsh Show 1989
Marwyn was the first foal of Bartletts Maria purchased in foal by David Gay from
Miss G Colman (Bartletts). He was an active colt and left to mature only
commencing his show career as a stallion in 1984.
Marwyn won many championships to name a few Champion Northleach '86,
Supreme Champion Shropshire and West Midland Show '87, Champion Royal
Show and Reserve Wembley Qualifier '87 and Supreme Champion Royal Welsh
Show '89.
Marwyn was used very little at stud but he did produce the colt Springbourne
Boyblue who left some good stock before being exported to Canada.
In 1993 Marwyn was leased by us for four years and produced champion
stock these include the colt S. Caerwyn now at the Vechtzichts Stud in
Holland. The fillies include S. Cloe, Clara, Cleo, Patience and Carmella.
Clara was the overall top price at the 1999 Fayre Oaks Sale. Another
of his offspring is the outstanding ridden gelding Blanche Minstrel.
