Boyblue was shown only twice as a two-year-old winning at the Southern Counties Spring Show. He then ran with his mares each season until the spring of 1991 when he was sold to Canada where he proved to be an exceptional harness pony winning both the diriving classes at the Toronto Royal Winter Fair, receiving such comments as 'he is the best moving pony I have ever seen'.
Inhand he was Supreme at the North Eastern WP&C Show Syracuss New York, the Canadian All Welsh Show and the Toronto Winter Fair.
Boyblue's sire and dam are both successful show ponies, his dam being Champion at Northleach All Welsh Show in 1984. Boyblue left some outstanding stock these include Carousel a Champion in the USA and the fillies Hurrah , Eirian and Choice all of which are champions in their own right.
